D.A.T.E.

HISTORY

Leader des échangeurs thermiques et systèmes de transfert de chaleur.

As an engineering and manufacturing company, our core business is the technical study, the design and the manufacturing of high-end heat exchangers.

Our story
1979: Creation of D.A.T.E.
Company founded by a group of 5 engineers, specializing in heat pipes for plastic injection molds and foundry
1981: Strategic partnership with ALSTOM

D.A.TE. stands out for its collaboration with ALSTOM, designing on-board heat exchangers for the cooling of power electronics. A major project which marks its entry into critical technologies for the energy and aeronautics sectors.
1985: Expansion in aeronautics and defense

The company develops heat exchangers with THALES for heat dissipation and with LEONARDO for radar cooling equipment. These projects affect more than 770 aircraft, strengthening D.A.T.E.'s position. in defense and aerospace.
1986: Medical and cryogenic innovations

A medical breakthrough has been made with the design of medical probes using descents to -80°C in N2 or CO2 for cardiac surgical interventions, involving the creation of a cold point at the end of the endoscopes using the Joule Thomson trigger.

The company is participating in a cryogenic project for CERN, developing plate exchangers for scientific research. The company has developed cryogenic plate exchangers, using the results of thermodynamic calculations.
1988: Development of space and scientific projects

Collaboration with the CEA for the Tore Supra project and contribution to the VLT project in Chile for the space telescope, where D.A.T.E. develops thermal systems to guarantee the sharpness of astronomical images.
1990: Sustainable development projects

DATE. designs solar collectors for mountain refuges, including the Refuge du Goûter in Mont Blanc. This project is rewarded at European level for its innovation and ecological commitment.
2000-2020: Consolidation and new challenges

The company participates in advanced research projects, such as the cooling of electromagnets for the CERN particle accelerator, and is positioned as a key player in cryogenic technologies, hydrogen, and aerospace, in particular with ESA.
2022: New ambitions

In October 2022, Philippe Bottu takes over the management of D.A.T.E., with the wish to energize the company, to continue to innovate, while remaining faithful to the values that have made it successful: excellence, expertise and commitment to long-term projects.
2023: Thermal management for satellites

DATE. is working on a strategic project to develop thermal management systems for satellites, contributing to the stability of temperatures of electronic components in space.

The company is also celebrating more than 40 years of presence in the defense sector, with long-term contracts for cutting-edge thermal solutions.
2024: Commitment to diversity and more than 40 years in defense
