Industrial means
D.A.T.E works all types of metals:
steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium and rare metals.
In the field of cryogenics, we specialize in the use of stainless steel, while having the capacity to work with aluminum when necessary.
Research
For our thermal, fluidic and mechanical studies, we use SolidWorks Fluidique, Fluent, Ansys and SolidWorks Mécanique software. D.A.T.E also has internal thermodynamics software, allowing advanced modeling with non-linear thermal coefficients. This tool, the result of nearly 45 years of expertise, is a key asset for our modeling.
Manufacturing
Our La Motte d’Aveillans site has a complete boilermaking workshop, equipped for: laser cutting, stamping, punching, folding, drilling, tapping, rolling and bending.
Two special machines, designed in-house, offer us the flexibility to produce tailor-made fins with precise control of the thermal pitch.
A dedicated structural bonding area is used for our non-cryogenic exchangers. Glue is a key element of mechanical strength and/or a means of heat conduction. This space is completed by several polymerization ovens which allow solidification and activation of the glue.
An assembly and cabling workshop allows the integration of electrical and/or electronic components according to specific customer needs.
Welding represents the heart of D.A.T.E’s added value. Our teams have mastered several welding techniques, including TIG welding with or without added material, spot welding, semi-automatic welding, as well as brazing processes (copper to copper, stainless steel to copper, aluminum to aluminum).
Tests and Controls
As our products are custom-made, we have implemented specific and exhaustive testing resources, including: tightness control, 3D and manual dimensional measurement, thermal test bench (Air/Air, Water/Water, Air/Water, climatic chamber from -70°C to +150°C), measurement of load losses, and electrical checks (mass continuity, insulation and electrical rigidity).
